Las Vegas Raiders Must Sign Stefon Diggs to Boost Offense

The Las Vegas Raiders could look almost brand new during the 2026 season with Fernando Mendoza as their new franchise quarterback. One analyst believes that the Raiders should bring in one offensive weapon to help their young quarterback, and that is Stefon Diggs. ESPN's Aaron Schatz recommended one final offseason move for every NFL team, and for the Raiders, he suggested signing Diggs as their new starting wide receiver. Diggs has proven himself to be a dependable No. 1 target, having helped Josh Allen and Drake Maye significantly improve their game. In the 2025 season, Diggs hauled in 85 receptions for 1,013 receiving yards and four touchdowns with the Patriots. Although he has off-the-field issues, Schatz argues that the Raiders are in no position to be picky about wide receiver talent, given their severely lacking receiver depth chart. The Raiders currently have Jalen Nailor, Tre Tucker, and Jack Bech as their starting receivers ahead of the 2026 season. Schatz believes that signing Diggs would be a no-brainer, given his ability to still play at a high level. The question remains whether or not the Raiders will take a chance on Diggs, but if any team is willing to do so, it could be a team with nothing to lose like Las Vegas. With the right support, Fernando Mendoza could thrive as the Raiders' quarterback, and signing Stefon Diggs could be the key to unlocking his full potential. The Raiders' offense would greatly benefit from having a reliable wide receiver like Diggs, who could help them improve their overall performance. By signing Diggs, the Raiders would be taking a step in the right direction towards building a strong team around their young quarterback.
